Weekly Issue #8: Taking KRED Into the Real World

August is all about real connections. We're making a big push into in-person events, because the strongest communities are built face-to-face, not just online.

Our longtime AMA Warrior @Gaius will represent KRED at Solana Summit Nigeria, hosted by Superteam Nigeria with over 950 attendees already registered. He's been with us through nearly every AMA and knows our vision inside out, so there's nobody better to carry the flag. He'll have KRED merch with him too, so if you spot him, come say hi and grab a photo.

We're hosting our very first Web3 networking meetup in Heidelberg, Germany this August. The goal is simple: connect local builders, creators and Web3 enthusiasts, and grow the community from the ground up.

We're hosting it at the SRH Gründerinstitut in Heidelberg. Capacity is limited to around 30 attendees, so if you're nearby, or you know someone in southern Germany who should join us, make sure they're ready.

Can't make Germany? Maybe Serbia. Belgrade Blockchain Week runs 24-30th August, and we're working to get as many of the team there as possible. The anchor event is Solana Summit Serbia on 26-27th August at Sava Congress Center: the first Solana Summit in Serbia, with 1,000+ attendees, 50+ speakers and 50+ companies. We've shifted our weekly AMAs from Mondays to Wednesdays. And since this is the last Wednesday of the month, it's a video AMA. Hop into the Discord voice channel, meet the team face to face, and ask us anything on your mind.

Our first community campaign is officially live and the next one is on the way.

You can now earn points and unlock Discord roles simply by helping grow the KRED community: invite new members, introduce creators and KOLs, or help spread the word across your network.

The second campaign gets announced today, so help spread the word across socials and write meaningful content about KRED. Every meaningful contribution counts, and we want to reward the people helping us build this from day one.

One more thing, as the community grows, it's almost time to find our Eagle. Keep an eye on our socials and Discord, because you won't want to miss what's coming.

We've now indexed 96 KOLs on the platform. With the rollout of our latest scoring algorithm, many profiles saw a noticeable drop in their KRED Score. We know that's been frustrating, and we're actively working on improving the model.

We want to be clear about one thing, though. Showing up matters. Every creator who has claimed their profile and joined KRED is already ahead of countless others who haven't stepped onto the stage. Your knowledge, reputation and impact reach further than today's score reflects, and we're committed to making the scoring better over time.
